Tucker Carlson’s reaction to Donald Trump’s announcement of the ceasefire

Tucker Carlson’s recent post on X (formerly Twitter), his first in several days following warnings against US involvement in Israel’s conflict with Iran, sparked widespread online discussion. In his brief message, Carlson simply wrote, “Thank God.”

Meanwhile, his former Fox News colleague Mark Levin, an outspoken advocate for war with Iran, reacted sharply to Trump’s ceasefire announcement, expressing his disdain for the very idea.

Levin argued, “Adolf Hitler wasn’t thrown a lifeline,” before questioning, “What does an agreement look like? Does that mean the Supreme Nazi survives? Does that mean the regime survives? I guess so,” as per Fox News.

Throughout the escalating Israel-Iran conflict, Carlson and Levin have exchanged pointed criticisms, especially over calls from Levin and others urging the Trump administration to take a more aggressive military stance.

Carlson highlighted the deeper divide, writing earlier this month, “The real divide isn’t between people who support Israel and people who support Iran or the Palestinians. The real divide is between those who casually encourage violence, and those who seek to prevent it — between warmongers and peacemakers.”

He named those advocating for direct US military action. “Who are the warmongers? They would include anyone who’s calling Donald Trump today to demand air strikes and other direct US military involvement in a war with Iran. On that list: Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Rupert Murdoch, Ike Perlmutter and Miriam Adelson. At some point they will all have to answer for this, but you should know their names now.”

Just two days after a US strike targeted three nuclear facilities in Iran, President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran.

In a post on X, Trump declared, “CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED!”

He explained that Iran would initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel at the 12-hour mark, with an official end to the “12 DAY WAR” expected after 24 hours. During the ceasefire periods, both sides were expected to remain peaceful and respectful. Trump praised both nations, saying, “ I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.’”

He concluded by emphasizing the significance of the ceasefire, noting, “This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will! God bless Israel, God bless Iran, God bless the Middle East, God bless the United States of America, and GOD BLESS THE WORLD!”

Internet urges Tucker Carlson to apologize to Donald Trump

After the internet saw Tucker Carlson’s two-word post following Donald Trump’s ceasefire announcement, many users quickly criticized him for doubting the POTUS’ decision to strike Iran’s nuclear sites.

One user wrote on X, “You should come clean Tucker. The end result of all this is no war and no boots on the ground. That’s America First. So far Trump has kept every one of his promises. Maybe you should issue an apology to President Trump.”

Another said, “You misspelled: “I’m sorry President Trump for doubting you.”

One person questioned, “Will you apologize now, Tucker?”

Another explained, “You have done a great disservice to many who followed, listened, and believed your fear-mongering. Time to self-reflect and maybe see that your influence can cause great harm. It’s about Americans and who they can trust in times of crisis. You’ve really disappointed a lot of people.”

One individual asked, “Thank Trump, you mean?”

Another added, “Trust in Trump and this administration.”
