The ‘Godfather’ star, who is currently filming “Maserati: The Brothers” in Italy, arrived in Rome by a private jet to meet the American Pontiff over the weekend.
The meeting with the Pope was also attended by Andrea Iervolino, the Italian-Canadian producer behind Pacino’s upcoming venture that focuses on the life of Italy’s legendary Maserati family.
In a photograph shared by Pope Leo’s official Instagram account, Iervolino is seen presenting the pontiff with a commemorative model car in a glass case, as Pacino looks on.
However, what caught fans’ attention was Al Pacino’s unkempt appearance, including an unshaven beard and an untucked button-up shirt, layered by a long black coat.
It also looked like the ‘Scarface’ actor missed combing his hair in a hurry to meet Pope Leo.
